Author Guidelines

Author Submission Guidelines

We entertain offline submission of manuscripts or email submission to "editor@gjbeses.org". Prospective authors are invited to submit original manuscripts at the secretary's desk or by email accordingly.

Authors are advised to adhere strictly to the Author's Guide listed below in order to ensure that their submissions are processed as fast as possible:-

  1. Original research manuscripts should not exceed 16 pages, typed in Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing and an all-round margin of one inch. This includes references, figures and tables.
  2. Review papers can be allowed up to 20 pages or more (excluding references), typed in Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing and an all-round margin of one inch.
  3. Abstract should not exceed 300 words and must have a statement of Introduction, Methodology, Results and Conclusion.
  4. All manuscripts must have line and page numbers
  5. All figures must be of high printing quality
  6. All equations must be written using Equation Editor

Manuscripts for research articles submitted to "Global Journal of the Built Environment (GJBE)" should be divided into the following sections:-

  1. Title page
  2. Abstract
  3. Background/Introduction
  4. Methods/Methodology
  5. Results
  6. Discussion
  7. Conclusions
  8. Acknowledgements
  9. References (Not more than 20)
  10. Figure legends (if any)
  11. Tables and captions (if any)

Failure to comply with the format given above will result in immediate rejection of your submission.

Paper Publishing Workflow

All manuscripts must pass through the workflow chart listed below before they are published by Global Journal of the Built Environment (GJBE). All articles published in GJBE must undergo peer review. Papers submitted to GJBE are usually sent out for review after initial editorial screening. Papers are subjected to and must pass a plagiarism check before they can be sent out for peer review.

 

Publication Frequency

Biannual (publishing twice in one year) or Triannual (publishing three time in one year)

Two Issues are published in batches annually.

  1. Issue 1 - January
  2. Issue 2 - May

 

Publication/Processing Fee

The journal charges following fee on acceptance: ₦‎10,000 (for Nigerian authors), $50 (for overseas authors).

The publication fees cover the cost of language editing, translation of abstracts, copyediting, and other editorial expenses.

There is no charge during manuscript submission. Publication fees will be charged once the paper is accepted. Upon acceptance, authors are to make their payments to the bank account with details below:-

The "Global Journal of the Built Environment (GJBE)" follows the open access policy.

A copyright transfer form should be filled, signed and submitted prior to publication of an accepted paper. The copyright form can be downloaded from here (Copyright Transfer Form.pdf).
